  January 31, 2026: Mark and Paula headed to Mille Lacs Kathio State Park for an event on a full-moon night.  It was a walk in the woods, guided by luminaries.    An astronomer was looking at the stars that night.    Some luminaries needed relighting. Most were in paper bags, but some were in ice. There were two trails, each a half mile in length. Mark and Paula walked both. The temperature was in the teens.  There was a fire at the end to warm up.  The Hans Blix Band playing inside the Interpretive/Visitor Center.    An old timer was telling about snowhsoeing through the woods.   Paula broke from her diet to enjoy cider and a cookie. |
