Thursday, August 14, 2025: Mark and Paula headed to Ely, Minnesota, only 16 miles from the Canadian border.



 Paula is always for the outdoors and seeing the foliage.



Ely is recognized as the gateway to the Boundry Waters and known as the Canoe Capitol of the U.S.



 The Duo dined at Insula that evening and enjoyed exceptional chocolate cake for dessert.



They checked in at the Grand Ely Lodge.
Sunset came, as seen over trees.



Then over Shagawa Lake.

Tourists showed how it is done!
