 Monday, July 14, 2025: Mark and Paula decided to see the Jewel Cave National Monument in South Dakota. There are over 220 miles of mapped passages and more to be explored.  This underground tour lasted 1 hour and twenty minutes and had 734 stairs.  There was a lot of interest in learning more.  Lots of photos were taken.  Because there was a lot to see.  Further and further down they went.  The tour guide was excellent explaining the underground environment.  The temperature underground is 49 degrees year round.  Then it was finally time to go back to the surface. |
