  Monday, July 14, 2025: Sweet Tooth Paula couldn't resist stocking up on chocolate to keep her going for the day ahead.  Then they were on Highway 16a in the Rushmore area where there are plenty of sharp turns.  Mark and Paula were going in circles, according to the GPS in their car!  Lots of tunnels too.  Mount Rushmore was visible while looking back through this one.  Then there is a stop where selfies are often taken.  A closer look at the Rushmore Memorial from a distance.  Yes, some people get around on horses in this area of the country.   Another tunnel with an even better view of Mount Rushmore.  They emerged into open country, but smoke from Canadian wildfires was evident. |
