 Sunday, May 4, 2025: Mark and Paula took a drive up the north shore of Lake Superior. They spotted an old white-bearded man watching the lake, wondering where his life had gone.  Another view looking north.  This is Iona's Beach, about 40 miles north of Duluth on the north shore of Lake Superior. The rocks are pink in color and Paula was fascinated by it.  Then it was off to Cloquet, MN, where Gordy's Hi-Hat restaurant was once featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. It is always a popular place.  The menu of fast food items is great and the service is even better.  It was a hamburger for Paula, then fish and chips for Mark.  |
